Police retrieved blood sample, airbag component as part of investigation into deadly pursuit

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — Authorities executed multiple search warrants last month as part of an investigation into a deadly crash that left a Hartselle High School student dead and resulted in murder charges against the driver, according to recently released filings reviewed by FOX54.

The documents were made available last week and show that the Hartselle Police Department obtained warrants to seize and search a pewter 2004 Chevrolet Impala involved in the Sept. 6 wreck that killed 17-year-old Tristan Hollis.
