Reality show star Duane “The Dog” Chapman appeared before the Priceville City Council Monday night with one goal – to help his son, Police Officer Garry Chapman, get his job back.

In the end, that’s what happened as the council voted to reinstate Garry Chapman after an unpaid 10-day suspension. The decision came a little more than a month after the officer was involved in a deadly policy chase that claimed the life of a Hartselle teenager and severely injured three others.

Chapman was fired after Priceville Police Chief Jerry Holmes determined the officer violated the department’s policies when he chased suspect Archie Hale into downtown Hartselle at speeds exceeding 100 mph. Chapman’s attorney Scott Moro said his client was a scapegoat for the wreck…
