Homes on the market are cheaper than they were a year ago throughout much of the Huntsville area, according to data from the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors.
The average rent for residents in the Huntsville and Decatur metro areas has also been in decline according to a University of Alabama study.
But that could change with the end of the federal government shutdown, the movement of workers for U.S. Space Command headquarters and personnel with the Federal Bureau of Investigation moving into the area, along with the possibility of declining interest rates, real estate analysts said…
