U.S. Army selects contractor for nextgen C-UAS missiles

Huntsville, AL-based AeroVironment, Inc. said it was selected to provide the U.S. Army with its Next Generation C-UAS Missile.

The company, a leading provider of Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems and advanced air and missile defense technologies, was also awarded at nearly $96 million contract for the Army’s Long-Range Kinetic Interceptor (LRKI) program through the Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (CCDC AvMC) Aviation & Missile Technology Consortium (AMTC). As part of the contract, AV will manufacture and deliver the Freedom Eagle kinetic C-UAS missile.
