An Alabama man caught with over 1,200 grams of cocaine on a Sumner County interstate was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison.
William F. Davis Jr., 53, of Madison, Ala., was sentenced by Judge Jennifer Nichols on Oct. 22, the district attorney’s office announced. He will have to serve at least 30 percent of the sentence, according to court records.
Davis was arrested in February 2021 on I-65 in Millersville by an investigator with the 18th Judicial District Drug Task Force, according to court records. During a routine interdiction stop, law enforcement discovered a large quantity of cocaine concealed inside the vehicle.
