One person injured after being struck by vehicle in Alabama

ALABAMA — A pedestrian was injured Sunday evening while attempting to remove debris from a roadway, authorities said.

The Section Volunteer Fire Department and Scottsboro Police Department responded to a report of debris on AL Highway 35 along the side of a mountain. Upon arrival, responders found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle while trying to clear the roadway.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Huntsville Hospital by Highlands EMS. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene…
