HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The City of Huntsville has filed a motion seeking default judgment and permanent closure of the 708 Bar & Grille, intensifying the ongoing legal fight over the bar’s future.
City attorneys submitted the motion in Madison County Circuit Court. In the documents, reviewed by FOX54, City attorneys argue that repeated violations by the bar’s owners — including missed court deadlines, failure to respond to discovery orders, and non-appearance at hearings — warrant the most severe legal sanction: a permanent injunction keeping the bar closed.
