Deputy bit by dog while responding to burglary call in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A Morgan County deputy was bitten by a dog while responding to a burglary call on Friday night, according to the sheriff’s office.

MCSO said that deputies responded to the call in the 7400 block of Hwy 36 in Valhermoso Springs. After deputies arrived on scene, the suspect fled from the deputy through a field.

“During the pursuit, a dog attacked and bit the Deputy. The deputy fired his weapon to defend himself,” MCSO said…
