Huntsville police report 138 guns stolen in 9 months, most from unlocked cars

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville police say criminals are targeting unlocked vehicles to steal guns across the city.

Over the past nine months, 138 guns have been stolen in the city. Of those, 124 came from car break-ins with a common theme.

“We’re seeing almost 90% of the vehicles that are broken into are unlocked,” Sergeant Chris Jackson said…
