Conditions are calm Monday, with wake-up temperatures in the mid-40s, high temperatures in the low 70s, and a mix of clouds and sunshine overhead.
Starting at bedtime tonight, scattered rain will move into the Shoals. A cold front will move through the region overnight tonight and through the early morning hours on Tuesday. This cold front brings us widespread rain and a risk for strong and severe storms. As a result, a level 1/5 severe weather risk is in effect for the overnight hours. Damaging winds, hail, and torrential rain are the main threats. The tornado threat is low but not zero.
