A warm front will push northward on Tuesday morning, creating a favorable environment for strong storms to develop. As of right now, the main impacts from storms will be strong wind gusts greater than 40 mph, small hail, heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.
As the cold front moves in during the afternoon, we’ll keep showers and storms in the forecast. Depending on how much instability can build at the surface level, we may be tracking some stronger to severe storms. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are forecast. Winds outside of storms may gust to 25 and 30 mph. Conditions improve for Wednesday and Thanksgiving.
