MADISON, Ala. — Women veterans across North Alabama came together Thursday for a holiday celebration built on community and connection at the Huntsville Military Women’s Community Center.
Invisible Warriors, a nonprofit supporting women veterans, hosted the Friendsgiving gathering, bringing service members, their families and friends around the same table to share stories and celebrate their service.
“I was just hearing all of these stories about the support these women were not getting, and we decided that that needed to change,” said Nancy Becher, executive director of Invisible Warriors. “We are a hub. We help the women find various services.”…
