HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Downtown Rescue Mission is distributing “turkey boxes” to community members who might not otherwise be able to afford a Thanksgiving meal.
Organizers said each box contains a turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, yams, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, and rolls. Each box will serve 4-6 people.
Organizers expect to hand out hundreds of boxes, and the need may be greater this year…
