HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Thanksgiving is often a time for reflection and gratitude, but for many in the community, it can be a difficult day. The Downtown Rescue Mission (DRM) opened its doors to ensure thousands of people enjoyed a warm, traditional holiday meal.
Staff and volunteers began preparations early Wednesday morning for the annual banquet. While each group had different assignments, they shared a common goal: to provide the experience of a traditional holiday celebration.
