A Vinemont man is booked in the Winston County Jail, facing several drug-related charges, following a traffic stop earlier this month in Morgan County.
According to court records, on Nov. 5, Morgan County deputies reported seeing Cathel Monroe Westmoreland driving suspiciously, leading to a search that uncovered methamphetamine, mixed prescription pills, burnt marijuana items and drug paraphernalia. Westmoreland admitted to possessing a gun and was removed from the vehicle.
He is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of controlled substances without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. A female passenger also possessed pills but claimed partial prescriptions…
