Judge orders in-person mental evaluation for man charged with killing Huntsville police officer

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Madison County Judge has ordered an in-person mental health evaluation for a man charged with shooting and killing a Huntsville police officer.

In an order on Monday, Judge Alison Austin ordered that Juan Laws go through an in-person mental health evaluation at the Madison County Jail to see if he is fit to stand trial.
