Plans to annex more than 700 acres of land introduced at Huntsville City Council meeting

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Plans to annex more than 700 additional acres of land were introduced during the Huntsville City Council meeting on Thursday.

The introduced annexations include:

  • 686.46 acres of land lying north of Little Cove Road and east and west of Highway 72 E.
  • 36.54 acres of land lying south side of Martin Road and east of Electronics Blvd.
  • 1.41 acres of land lying south of Sutton Road and west of Woodside Drive.

Plans for the land were not included in the documents with the city council agenda packet.

So far in 2025, Huntsville has annexed over 2,000 acres of land…
