MADISON, Ala. (WAFF) – 32 Madison firefighters are suing the city, claiming they haven’t been paid what they deserve since the city implemented a new pay scale.
In September 2024, the city approved a new pay scale that city leaders said would compensate firefighters fairly. When the system was implemented in early December, many firefighters said it wasn’t working as intended.
