Tenn. inmate tied to Ronald Dumas Jr. case appears in court, gets attorney

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Quintarius White, a suspect in the disappearance of Huntsville Realtor Ronald Dumas, Jr., appeared in court in Shelby County, Tenn., on Wednesday.

At that appearance, a judge assigned White a private attorney and ordered both parties to return to court on Feb. 17. White was then returned to the Shelby County Jail, where he has been held since April.

White faces numerous charges in Tennessee and is expected to be extradited to Alabama — at some point — regarding the Dumas case. At the Shelby County Jail, his file is marked “Hold for Huntsville Police,” indicating a pending transfer to the Madison County Jail…
