4,000 FBI personnel set for Huntsville by 2030 at ‘most advanced training facility in the world’

One of the largest concentrations of FBI personnel in the U.S. will be in north Alabama in the coming decade, a bureau executive told a crowd in Huntsville Wednesday.

Speaking at Tuesday’s Redstone Arsenal update in Huntsville, Kevin Jones, Deputy Assistant Director for IT Infrastructure, said there are 2,200 FBI personnel stationed at the installation. They expect that number to grow to 4,000 by 2030.

“What we’ve seen (is that Huntsville) offers our workforce is greater access to tech talent, greater work-life balance opportunities for our family, and a greater ability to extend our continuity of operations and the resilience for the core mission that we support,” Jones told the crowd at the Von Braun Center…
