Eli Lilly’s $6 billion boost means new jobs, growth for Huntsville-Limestone County area

Eli Lilly is making a significant investment in the Huntsville-Limestone County area with plans to build a new manufacturing facility. Earlier this week, the pharmaceutical company announced a more than $6 billion investment focused on producing medicines, including oral GLP-1.

Construction on the 260-acre site at the northeast corner of Interstate 565 and Greenbrier Parkway is expected to begin in 2026, with completion set for 2032.
