Text scams on the rise, according to reports

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – If you’ve noticed a recent increase in spam texts trying to get your information, you’re not alone.

Consumer Reports found a 50 percent increase in text scam attempts from 2024 to 2025.
