DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – An investigation is underway after a break-in at Woodmeade Elementary School on Saturday afternoon.
Decatur City Schools said the incident left a lot of damage across campus, including car rider flag identifiers and poles being torn down, orange cones tossed on top of the school, a broken flower pot, a dented door, and a jammed classroom door.
The district added that nearly a dozen windows were broken, gutters were damaged, and an ‘inappropriate drawing’ was scratched into metal benches.
