MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Officials with HEMSI say one person is dead and two others were taken to the hospital after a wreck involving an 18-wheeler on Highway 231/431.
HEMSI Spokesperson Don Webster said one man is dead, while a woman is in critical condition after the wreck, which happened near Meridianville Middle School.

Webster said around 6:20 p.m., a vehicle heading northbound on Hwy 231/431 was turning left onto the road leading to the middle school when it was t-boned by an 18-wheeler heading southbound on the highway.
