MADISON CO. – The Daughters of the American Revolution are seeking the help of hunters, fishers, and property owners in Madison County to identify the graves of Revolutionary War veterans.
The DAR has a list of 40 patriots who are thought to be buried in Madison County but whose graves have not been located. The DAR, together with the Sons of the American Revolution, find, restore, and maintain the graves of Revolutionary War veterans, making them available to the public and memorializing them with official historical markers.
Through historical research, the DAR was able to whittle down a list of 100 missing patriots to just 40. Now, they are asking for the public’s help to find the remaining patriots’ graves…
