Huntsville City Council to decide fate of fire-damaged ‘Cattle Car’ at depot

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Huntsville City Council is set to consider an ordinance authorizing the disposal of a historic railroad car that was destroyed by fire earlier this year.

The “Cattle Car,” a railroad car located at the Historic Huntsville Depot in downtown Huntsville, was gutted by flames in April and has been declared damaged beyond repair, according to city documents.
