SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) — Two people were arrested after a shooting at a Huntsville dealership led to a police chase through two counties and a search in the woods in Scottsboro.
Carlos Deshaun Clark, 19, and Jase Martell Armstrong, 21, of Memphis, Tennessee, are both facing charges after they are accused of attempting to steal a vehicle from “Lifted Trucks,” a dealership on University Drive near Providence.
HPD said investigators learned that while trying to enter a vehicle on the lot, two suspects wearing ski masks approached a security guard and began to shoot in the guard’s direction before leaving the scene in a 2018 black Dodge Challenger. Police said the security guard returned fire.
The VP of Lifted Trucks Andrew Ardissone said the guard was patrolling the lot when this incident occurred. He added that there was damage to some of the vehicles on the lot.
Authorities said that the security guard was injured and was transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services with non-life-threatening injuries. The security guard is expected to make a full recovery…
