ATHENS, Ala. (WAFF) – New retail stores such as Hobby Lobby, and possible locations for Academy Sports + Outdoors, HomeGoods, Burlington, Books-A-Million, and PetSmart — are headed to Athens as part of a new retail development.
The Athens City Council approved on Monday a new retail development plan on the southern end of Braly Boulevard near I-65 and U.S. 72.
