Huntsville parish offers sensory-friendly Christmas Mass for inclusive worship

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Parish in downtown Huntsville will offer a sensory-friendly Christmas Mass at 7 p.m. Wednesday to accommodate individuals and families who may experience sensory sensitivities.

The Mass will take place at the parish, located at 222 Jefferson Street North, and will aim to reduce or eliminate elements that can cause overstimulation. Organizers said there will be no incense or choir, and lighting will be kept lower than usual.
