Morgan County, AL – Deputies in Morgan County responded earlier today to a welfare check that escalated into a mental health crisis involving an armed individual, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived to find the subject in a field reportedly experiencing a mental health emergency and holding a firearm. After what officials described as “extensive negotiations,” the person was safely disarmed and received medical attention at the scene.
