The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded to three different calls to a residence in Hartselle on New Year’s Eve and the next day one of the residents fatally shot someone there after an argument, according to an affidavit filed on Friday.
Roger Timothy Clayton, 67, whose address is in the 1100 block of Alabama 36 East in Hartselle, was charged with homicide after he allegedly shot Steven Eric McCulloch, 34, of Hartselle on Thursday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
He remained in the Morgan County Jail on Friday without bond and has an Aniah’s Law hearing scheduled for Monday in District Judge Shelly Waters’ court. The judge will determine at that hearing whether to set bond for Clayton, or whether he will be held without bond…
