Here’s the wish list from Madison County residents headed into the next Legislative session

Members of Madison County’s legislative delegation heard pleas from residents to fix health care problems, abolish the death penalty and to protect the Flint River less than a week before the 2026 Alabama Legislative Session begins.

“It was a packed house,” District 21 State Rep. Rex Reynolds said of the legislative forum held at Huntsville City Hall on Tuesday night. “It shows that democracy does work. A lot of these topics we’ve already heard or heard about. Some of them we are working on. Some may or not be addressed during the session. It gives these people a good platform to deliver their comments or thoughts to the legislature.”
