HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The City of Huntsville donated a bit of history to an important local museum Thursday night.
The city approved donating a historic North American Railway boxcar to the Scottsboro Boys museum on Thursday.

Located in Scottsboro, the museum works to preserve and educate the public on the Scottsboro Boys case. In the infamous 1931 case, nine young black boys were arrested and convicted of rape charges after being falsely accused by two young white women.
Eight of the nine boys were sentenced to death in retrials that took place in Decatur. Those death sentences were later reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court, but several of the boys were later convicted again in another set of trials…
