DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A former Decatur police officer accused of murder is looking to reschedule his trial again.
Mac Marquette is charged with fatally shooting Steve Perkins during a botched tow truck repossession in September 2023.
Marquette’s trial was postponed from January 26 to June 8 after the Alabama Supreme Court agreed last month to hear oral arguments on his appeal for immunity. Those arguments are scheduled for January 28 at the University of Alabama.
