Report of downed aircraft near Whitesburg Bridge determined to be safe landing

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — Deputies responded to a report of a downed aircraft in the Tennessee River near the Whitesburg Bridge in Lacey’s Spring on Wednesday, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities initially received reports that a plane may have crashed into the river, prompting a response to the area.
