GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — A man died following an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement officers during a domestic disturbance call in southern Marshall County on Sunday morning, authorities said.
Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies and Guntersville police officers responded to a residence on Meadowbrook Drive near the Blount County line on Highway 79 South, according to Sheriff Phil Sims and Guntersville Police Chief Ryan Darnell.
Officers made contact with an older white man who was the subject of the domestic-related call. While attempting to speak with the man, deputies and officers exchanged gunfire with the individual, who was inside a camper on the property, authorities said…
