NORTH ALABAMA (WHNT) – Agencies across North Alabama have started announcing road closures due to icy conditions.

Madison County
The Huntsville Police Department said that all Memorial Parkway overpasses, north and southbound, are closed. The roads listed below are also closed:
- Green Mountain Road
- Bankhead Parkway
- Chapman Mountain (Hwy 72 just past Moores Mill Road)
- Oakwood Avenue (from Oakwood Road to Orba Drive)
- Greenbriar Road (from Greenbriar Road to Old Highway 20)
- Greenbriar Road (from I-565 to Greenbriar Road)
- Capshaw Road
- Wall Triana Hwy (between the Capshaw Road intersection and the Old Railroad Bed Road area)
- Hwy 72 West (Brock Road to Brownsboro)
According to the City of Madison, I-565 east and westbound are closed, as well as Old Madison Pike between Miller Road and Shelton Road.
The ramps to Town Madison are shut down, too…
