HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Multiple crashes and icy roads have been reported on major roads across the Tennessee Valley.
Huntsville Police have closed all Memorial Parkway overpasses (northbound and southbound) due to icy conditions. These bridges are slick and dangerous. Authorities are asking people to use alternate routes.
Current Road Status:
- I-565 Eastbound & Westbound: Passable at this time. Crews are actively salting but drive with extreme caution and reduce speed.
- Green Mountain Road: Closed
- Bankhead Parkway: Closed
