HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — It has been a bone-chilling start to the week, with temperatures nearly 20 degrees below normal for this time of year.
By the weekend, the Deep South will see another drastic drop in temperatures as an Arctic air mass moves in.
The next Arctic air mass will lead to dangerous temperatures with highs expected to be nearly 20 degrees below normal. Strong wind gusts will also accompany this system, with gusts over 25 mph possible. It will be that blustery wind that will support dangerous wind chills.
As of Tuesday morning, waking up Saturday morning, air temperatures will range from the single digits to 10 degrees. Signs in the data are showing that the feel-like temperatures could reach five degrees below zero or lower in Tennessee…
