Huntsville spending $322,800 on non-profit organizations: Here’s who is getting the money

The city of Huntsville will be distributing more than $322,800 in federal funding to nine local non-profit organizations.

The City Council approved the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding last week. The funds will help the organizations support programs that benefit low- to moderate-income residents across the city.

“CDBG funding allows us to invest directly in the organizations that are making a difference in our community every day,” Community Development Manager Scott Erwin said on the community website. “These partners help ensure Huntsville residents have access to safe housing, essential healthcare, job training and supportive services that improve quality of life and strengthen our neighborhoods.”…
