Doug Jones pushes state lottery as Alabama campaign priority, weighs in on Tuberville residency

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Gubernatorial candidate Doug Jones outlined his vision for Alabama’s future during a keynote address at the North Alabama Black Realtist Association gala in Huntsville, emphasizing economic development, healthcare expansion, and constitutional accountability.

Jones, who served as the event’s featured speaker, used the platform to discuss his campaign and key policy priorities he believes should guide the state’s next administration.

Building a Campaign

Jones, a Democrat, told attendees he’s focused on recruiting strong candidates across the state as he builds his gubernatorial campaign.

“We have spent a lot of time trying to work with recruiting candidates. And we’re really proud of the candidates they’ve been recruited to run statewide and for legislative candidates. There’s a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of momentum,” Jones said.
