ATHENS, Ala. — The City of Athens is inviting residents to review and comment on its draft Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Transportation Safety Action Plan. The comment period is open until February 23.
The plan aims to reduce serious injuries and fatalities, improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers, and identify high-risk locations and priority projects. Officials say it will also help create a safer, more connected transportation network throughout the city.
City leaders encourage anyone who lives, works, or travels in Athens to provide feedback to help shape the plan…
