LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — Firefighters freed a trapped driver Wednesday morning after an SUV overturned and crashed into a residence, coming to rest upside down on the home’s front porch.
East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department responded to the crash at approximately 11:30 a.m. on State Hwy. 251 near South Road. Crews arrived to find the gold-colored SUV flipped onto its roof and wedged against the brick ranch-style home with the driver pinned inside.
The vehicle had traveled across the front yard, overturning landscaping before striking the house. Debris including a gas can and personal items was scattered across the lawn.
