Former Trinity UMC Day Care employee speaks out

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A former employee of the day care at Trinity United Methodist Church, now at the center of a child sexual abuse investigation, says there were clear problems when she worked there.

The former employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, exclusively told News 19’s Peyton Newman that issues of security, safety and transparency prompted her to stop teaching at the day care after being there for over a year.

“I just had to walk away, and that was the hardest thing I had to do, because I loved those babies,” the former employee said.

She said she began working at the day care in 2017, a few years before Cameron White was hired. White was arrested by Huntsville Police on January 22 and fired from the facility. He faces five counts of child sexual abuse that investigators said happened while he was working at the business…
