DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Mac Marquette, a former Decatur Police officer charged in the shooting death of Stephen Perkins, is now set to go on trial for murder on September 21.
Mac Marquette is charged with fatally shooting Perkins during a botched tow truck repossession in September 2023. His murder trial was set for June 8 but Circuit Judge Charles Elliott agreed to move the murder trial back to September 21 during a rescheduling hearing on Thursday.
