FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – On Sunday morning, the city of Fayetteville experienced a large fire on the square.
The fire happened on Market Street East and caused several roads to be blocked off including the following:
- Main Avenue from Maple Street to College Street
- Elk Avenue from College Street to Maple Street
- Market Street from Lincoln Avenue to Franklin Avenue
Around 12:40 p.m., after hours of attack, the fire was put out and Main Avenue and Elk Avenue were reopened for traffic.
