Otis Walker was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and came up in the deep musical tradition of the American South. He cut his teeth in the music business in Muscle Shoals, absorbing the sounds, work ethic, and soul that have defined generations of legendary recordings. That foundation shaped both his playing and his approach to songwriting, grounding his music in feel, groove, and authenticity.
Drawing from blues, funk, Southern soul, and rock, Otis describes his sound as a “musical gumbo of goodness,” a style that blends Southern genres into something rich, powerful, and unmistakably his own. Since relocating to Huntsville, Alabama, he has built a strong reputation as a commanding performer, known for delivering heartfelt, soulful ballads from behind the microphone and unleashing blistering leads on his Hammond B3 organ and keyboards.
