One day later: Fayetteville businesses destroyed by fire look to the future, thank the community

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. — The smoke has cleared over downtown Fayetteville, but the landscape of the historic district has been changed forever.

A massive blaze that drew crews from Fayetteville, Tullahoma, and Huntsville on Sunday resulted in the total collapse of a century-old landmark. On Monday, business owners and community leaders began the heartbreaking task of surveying the rubble and planning a path forward.
