Sutton Apartment residents settle into new homes after abrupt displacement

MADISON, Ala — All residents displaced from The Sutton apartments last month have found permanent housing, thanks to assistance from local organizations and volunteers.

Madison Utilities shut off water to the apartment complex in January after owner Lurin Real Estate Holdings failed to pay its utility bill. The shutoff gave families seven days to vacate the property.
