DECATUR, Ala. — Colorful floats and flying beads filled downtown Decatur on Saturday as Mardi Gras officially rolled through the city for one of the biggest celebrations of the year.
The parade is part of Carnegie Carnival, a fundraiser benefiting the Carnegie Visual Arts Center. The event supports the center’s mission of promoting art for all while revitalizing downtown through community events.
